Wayside guest accommodation & Whisky Barn is situated at the base of Black Combe ( the only place in the country where you can see the whole of the British Isles and the Isle Of Man) surrounded by stunning scenery and the Cumbrian coast. It is the perfect location for a relaxing weekend away, or for the more adventurous we provide an excellent base for walking, biking, sea kayaking, wind surfing, kite surfing, we have fantastic  horse riding (beach or fell rides), or if you are touring around the south west coast on motorbikes  we are an ideal place to stay overnight, with off road private parking, and after an exciting day out, why not relax with a  glass of real ale, or a pint of cold draught peroni, good home cooked food, or one or two warming single malt whisky's, if you try one and really like it  you could purchase a bottle from our whisky barn to take home with you and enjoy at your leisure, or maybe for a present.

In summer we have an outdoor area with picnic benches where you can enjoy the views of Black Combe and totally relax.

The accommodation has been carefully and tastefully renovated from a disused derelict barn and has kept many of its original features. All four bedrooms are decorated individually, have good quality furnishings and are all ensuite. 

If you enjoy the outdoor life and walking try taking the private path behind the hotel leading directly up to Black Combe. We have  secure storage sheds,  ideal for bikes, canoes and other equipment along with washing and drying facilities. We also have fantastic riding stables nearby for beach or fell rides, all abilities welcome.

There is so much to do if you love the outdoor life, lots of beautiful scenery, interesting places to visit, fantastic pubs some of which brew their own beers and ciders, and plenty of good clean fresh air. We have a Blue Flag beach, which when the tide is out has plenty of sand, ideal for kite buggies,wind surfing,sand castle building, sea fishing, kayaking.

There is an outdoor building available complete with large dog crates, so your dogs can have a holiday too. They are also welcome in the bar area.
